For projects purchased from our store the first 15 minutes of expert help are free. After the first 15 minutes there will be a fee. Please call or email for rates.
Private Lessons
For one on one instruction and help, TBS offers private lessons in knitting and crochet. Lessons are scheduled at the convenience of the student and the instructor and will take place in the shoppe. Please inquire for rates and availability.
FALL CLASS SCHEDULE
The First EVER Three Black Sheep Yarn Tasting
September 12th at 7pm!
$10 per person includes wine and cheese and all yarn! Join us at TBS for an evening of sampling our newest Fall and Winter yarns while enjoying some light refreshments and the company of friends. Bring your arsenal of needles and your insights! Seating is limited so please reserve your seat early!
ARAN AFGHAN
First Friday of each month starting 10/3, 11/7, 12/5, 1/2, 2/6, 3/6, 4/3, 5/1, 6/5, 7/3, 8/7, 9/4
Join the TBS crew in knitting a luxurious, tweed afghan while learning an astounding variety of aran stitches. Each month will feature a new pattern for a total of twelve months. Each square measures 12x12 for a total of 16 squares and the afghan itself measures an impressive 48x48” without the border. This is the project for all levels of knitters and will allow more than sufficient time to complete. The mystery afghan was such a success, mostly because of the great time we all had together. So join us again or for the first time and create a masterpiece for yourself or for someone special!

Knitted Teddy Bear

Knit this adorable teddy bear all done in sequential garter stitch rectangles. When done you will stuff, shape and stitch the face…then you decide…holiday gift or a snuggly friend for a new baby? Should you make a scarf, sweater or hat for your new bear? The possibilities are endless. Register early as there is homework for this class.

BASIC SOCKS ON DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES

You may have noticed socks are all the rage now. The most portable of all knitting projects combined with the vast assortment of amazing sock yarns explains some of the popularity. But you really have to try it to understand the allure of socks. Once you master the basics you will be hooked on sock knitting just like the rest of us!!! Join us for this beginner class designed to teach you basic sock anatomy, knitting with double pointed needles all on worsted weight yarn (much easier for your first sock experience!) and the knitting magic of toe grafting.

Do you want to hold a skein of yarn, sock needles and a tape measure and never need a sock pattern again? If the answer is yes, then this is the class for you. No difficult charts to follow, just a simple formula, after the basic understanding of sock anatomy and you can do anything! Any sock yarn is fine, however, the class sock was made in Claudia’s hand paints, surely one of the most divine sock knitting experiences you may have in a long time.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: If a class is cancelled due to poor weather we will do our best to contact everyone and the class will be rescheduled. We will also list the cancellation on News12.com. All class registration fees are non refundable unless TBS cancels the class. Please give 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend the entire class. A store credit will then be given towards another class. Please make arrangements to attend every class. If a class is missed it is the student’s responsibility to arrange for a make up at the convenience of the instructor and a private lesson fee will be assessed. Full or partial credits are not given for scheduling conflicts, missed or student cancelled classes or materials. All classes require a minimum of 3 students to run.
PLEASE NOTE REQUIRED YARN FOR ALL CLASSES MUST BE PURCHASED AT THE SHOPPE. PLEASE BE SURE TO PURCHASE ALL YARN AND NEEDED SUPPLIES PRIOR TO THE CLASS SO CLASSES MAY START ON TIME. ALL ATTENDEES SHOULD BRING THEIR NEEDLES AND NOTION BAGS TO CLASSES. WE DO OF COURSE SELL ANY SUPPLIES NEEDED THE NIGHT OF THE CLASS.
